Canfield Circle of Lights is located in the Cedar grove Sub-Division of Elgin, IL. Come check out the display for Halloween and Christmas Shows!
Established in 2004, we have transitioned from old traditional Christmas Lights, to LED Christmas Lights, to Light o Rama, to now RGB Pixel Shows.
In 2022 we have displayed over 9,500 pixels for Halloween and 12,681 pixels for our Christmas Display which consists of over 70 individual props.
The show is ran off of a raspberry pi computer which is plugged into our home network. The lights are all plugged into falcon controllers. We have 2 Falcon v3 16 port controllers and new this year is the Falcon v4 16 port controller. It also consists of 5 smart receivers which expands the ports to different places in the yard.
The house can be seen over a half a mile away on Nesler Road due to the rotating light positioned on top of the house. This light has LED bulbs which are the same used on airport runways.
You can listen to the lights on 99.1 FM as the show is ran through a FM modulator.
